I hear all the time about Arnold Schwarzenegger running for president. He cant run for pres. can he?
- do you think if he was president that he would be a good one?
- He can't serve.
- No - he can't run - he was born in another country and that's prohibited by the Constitution. And what would he do if he could, threaten to terminate the Muslim ragheads?
- No you have to be born in the U.S. to be able to run for president.
- He needs to fix Cali before he starts worrying about anything else…
- no he can't. he was'nt born in the US
- No, thank God, he is one of those people that can lie and people believe it like it was gospel. He is every bit as guilty of being a sexaholic as Bill Clinton but the repukes over look that. Just like George Bush's alcohol and coke addiction.
- No and No
- no. you must be a natural born citizen of the US. no one born outside is allowed.
- Not currently. But Republicans try to change the rules when it suits their party.
- Arnold was not born in this country so by law, no he cannot run for president………….that said there is some talk about changing that law…………..I hope it doesn't happen
- At the present time Arnold Schwarzenegger can't run for president but his political party is trying to get the law changed. Should be interesting. For to long our only presidents have all been old white men that belong to the same country club.
- Thank god our Constitution states you have to be born an American to be President of the U.S.A
He has the ability to help slow the invasion of illegal immigration at the border.
He could pass the same laws as Colorado did by going after the employers and landlords for renting to them.
You can not stop a person from trying to help there families out by coming here illegally.
But if there were no jobs or homes no Free Fed. or State Services they will stop coming here.
Take all the money we waste on illegal immigration and put it to making Mexico a place they want to stay and live and work.
And start thinking about America Frist
- funny their once was a story I heard about how a guy not born in the us will become president and it was the beginning of the end.it was told when I was young and before that moron Schwarzenegger(who has family ties to the Nazis true look it up)was the terminator part 2,but alas their right he is not a citizen born……..but some want to change that…besides he seems to be doing a hell of a **** Job in California…..he is an actor…..
- That's a joke right, well he is a Kennedy. So look out US things might be a changing.
- No. He was born in Austria. Our Constitution states this:
"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
- don't think so you need to be born in the US
- no but I would vote for him
- I think you have to be born in the states to actually run for president.
- No, no he cannot not. THANK ***! We don't need another George Bush.
- it's in the Constitution. the president must be born in the USA. AS was born in austria.
we would have to change the constitution for him to be elligible. its not going to happen.
- Some politicians have been floating the idea of a constitutional amendment to permit a foreign-born person to become President. But it seemed to fizzle.
- I believe only a natural born citizen of the United States can run for President. So, no, Arnie can't run.
- There would have to be a constitutional amendment passed to allow individuals not born in the US to hold such office and even then it would probably require that they had been here for some extended period of time.
- no he cant he was not born within the united states
- No, you have to be born in the United States.
