Is Arnold Schwarzenegger a murderer now for killing Stanley "Tookie" Williams?

isn't murder simply murder?

  1. Also didnt Tookie kill other killers - doing what the state does anyway? Or did he also kill non-killers?
  2. This question requires a opinionated answer

pick your right to life opinion of the moment and that will be your answer

Unfortunately for those who would say it is murder they would also likely be the first to say abortion is the right of the mother. And from evidence that same group would also probably laugh, celebrate, promote our enemies and attempt to take political adavantage at the loss of american fighting forces overseas.

  3. no — he was not in the jury that convicted Williams. he was not the 'executioner'. Williams was convicted by a jury of his peers and sentenced to be executed. Arnold had NOTHING to do with it other than saying that his sentence would be fulfilled.
  4. Schwarzenegger is a hero.

The question is, "Why does the Justice system move so slowly?

  5. No, he was doing his job. Don't to the crime if you can't do the time.
  6. Somebody killed those people, and I don't know if "Tookie" was innocent or not but to insist that every black man in jail is there is there because of a white jury is silly. With whether he did the crime or not aside, its really everybodys personal opinion that he was murdered in return for murder (Since it isn't illegal). Frankly, killing someone is killing someone, whether they are innocent or not.
Still, the law isn't perfect, and how many people would be crying foul if Tookie had been released to kill again? Not that I'm saying Tookie would of, but you can't have a double standard in a judicial system. Of course, thats where the Governer comes in and who can honestly say that he made the wrong choice? I don't have enough data to know so, but in a system that prides it self in redeming the bad of society this doesn't look good.
  7. No. All murderers should be executed. At least that's my take, perhaps harsh but the world might be a better place if they are.
  8. "Murder" is the "unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought." The governor executed Williams in accordance with state law; therefore, the execution was not "unlawful" under state law.
  9. Not the murder no but he holds some accountablity in taking the life of another human being.

That can't be good karma for the soul being involved in such darkness I believe in though shall not kill.

However this doesn't mean I don't believe in locking up a murder until death.

I believe if you commit a man to death you should be the one that also takes his life in order to balance out the eternal punishment of the darkness that has on ones soul and keep it away from the innocent.

For those that believe in it I ask you this. If you commit a man to his death could you also be the one to take his life and watch the life drain from his body face to face. Ask yourself that.

We are not Gods , we should never try to play the role.

  10. Only if williams was innocent, he wasn't. It's called justice
  11. No he is not. As the governor of California, he has the option to grant clemency to any defedant in the state. He did not make the decision to execute Stanley Williams. He was convicted of his crimes more than twenty years ago and has filed appeals from his court, appeals court, federal court, federal appeals court and the US Supreme Court. All the courts and governor agreed with the verdict.

If there was any chance he was not guilty, one of those courts would have seen it. That is why it took so long, each court reviewed the case.
