How do I calculate my target muscle sizes?
I want to figure out what size my muscles should be in good proportion with my body. They are somewhat dis-proportional now so I think some of my muscles need more work than others. Is there anything online or anywhere that can give me the optimum size for my muscles based on my height and build? Ex. For a 6'3'' male of average body size, calves should be xx, thighs xx, biceps xx. I know its really a matter of personal preference but it seems to me there would be a specific build that would look best already calculated by someone. Maybe even a 3D model or something.
- bodybuilding.com is a good website but if you have some money to invest. buy arnies encyclopedia of bodybuilding. he goes way into muscles and competition and how they should be proportioned . also body types, sizes HEIGHT and theres hundreds of pictures of pros to illustrate this. but generally its the way you look in the mirror. when you are training long enough your body will speak to you.
also he states that you should model your desired physique to someone who is the same height and body type as you. so check out some pics of gunter schlierkamp or even lou ferrigno and see what you think. they are both very tall. - There is no standard you can check for how big your muscles should be. If you check your BMI you can get an idea of how much you should weigh. If you have a balanced workout your muscles, over time, will start to look proportional to your body.
