I am male, 24, strong , but a little fat, is it OK to start bodybuilding now?

Or better to lose some weights before? I want to have very active body in addition to be stronger. And is my body go out of shape if I stop bodybuilding?

  1. you prob better lose a bit of weight first! you have to work at keeping your body in shape. so yeah you will look horrible if you bodybuild and stop…may even get man boobs…ewwww
  2. you probably need to go to the gym regularly for say a month,, let ur body using to do such a strong work and then have a go
  3. get a physicial from your doctor. if everything is ok then go for it!

I am male, 24, strong , but a little fat, is it OK to start bodybuilding now?

Or better to lose some weights before? I want to have very active body in addition to be stronger. And is my body go out of shape if I stop bodybuilding?

  1. Dude, go to a local gym and ask for a "free week"…most of them will give you that to get you signed up. Then talk to the personal trainer on board and he/she can answer you questions specifically for your body type. You will be needing cardio workouts to burn off the fat and weights to increase the muscle. A low fat, high protein diet with lots of water ought to get you on your way! You don't have to wait…go for it, handsome! Godloveya!

    I always found the discipline of martial arts to be helpful along with body building.
    Especially at your age.
    Go for it.
    Do not indulge in freaky diets.
    Just eat healthy.

  5. I think you would look better if you lose weight and then start bodybuilding.. but I dont know about if you go outta shape if you stop bodybuilding..
  6. Your fat will melt off as you progress in bodybuilding. Exercise turns fat to muscle. Start up as soon as you want. and enjoy the new you.
  7. first start body building u will replace the fat with muscles it good that u want to become healther but start out slow and dont use those pills that are suppose to help u the best way to build muscles is to get rid of chemical not gain chemical. u would have to keep up the exercise but if u miss one nothing is going to happen but dont because it will make u feel lazy and u will like it then ur going to look worst then before. and it good that ur starting it will help alot and u will live longer than others
