Is 15% body fat to high or low or what?

im male, 5'9, 19 years old, medium build, and weight 160 pounds..I lost 15 pounds by doing alota cardio over 2 months time..and ideally want to start adding muscle. should I continue to cut weight with 15% body fat, or begin bulking?

  1. that is healthy any lower and you will start to see abs around 12% or so. lower than 8% you will see some vascularity in the abs. don't want to bulk yet save that for fall and winter when you put the weight on better.

  3. It's very healthy. If you want to a more defined physique I would start bulking up now, you can always get cut once you've got some muscle mass. Good luck : )
  4. too low. bmi should be around 20%. start bulking up.
  5. You are perfect. The healthy range guys goes up to 18%, I believe. Dipping down to eleven-thirteen will make your abs show, but that may be a bit dangerous. You should stay at the natural weight your body stays at when you eat and excercise enough to satisfy your body. Do not harm yourself.
    Instead of asking random computer junkies like me, (no offense to the others) make a doctor appointment. We cannot see you but it sounds like you're at a healthy size.
    What kind of muscle do you want? For the long, lean look, run a mile a day and strength train 2-3 times a week. Being a girl I don't know what to say about how to get "buff" though, sorry. :)
