Is Creatine for me?
I am a 17 year old male, about 5'7". Used to be 175lbs and 18% body fat. But recently lost weight and built some muscle and now I am at 143lbs with 13% body fat.
- My goal for now is to gain muscle and look not completely ripped but have some cuts. I wake up and take a 20g Protein Shake for breakfast at 7:00AM and workout at 7:30AM. I do weight training for about an hour and then finish up with about 20-30min. of cardio. I used to do about 30-45min of cardio but since I lost most of the fat I stopped doing so much.
- Cardio has a lot to do with it because it determines the outcome of each workout for a person who could still lose some fat.
- What does cardio have to do with it?
- So my question is should I keep taking it and if so should I keep doing cardio? How much cardio should I do per day? Remember that I still have a bit of fat left.
- You don't need to "load" creatine. It's just a way to reach saturation faster. 5g a day is fine. I'm guessing you're taking mono.
Cardio has nothing to do with it. I wouldn't cut if I were you, instead do a lean bulk keeping cardio under 30 minutes. 143lb is lightweight. Too much cardio catabolizes muscle. - More like "Cretan".
- This morning I started taking a 5g per serving type of Creatine from Bally Total Fitness. The instructions talked about the 20g loading for 5 days and then 5g per day. I have taken 20g so far today and worked out my Back, Biceps, Forearms, Abs, and did a 20min. cardio session after just 5g in the morning.
