Is it true that the male lion body is more powerfully built than the male tiger body?
- No. They are nearly identical. The lion is slightly more compact, with a thicker mane, the tiger longer. Both evenly matched as far as strength and power, though the lion is socially tougher than the tiger and would win nearly every time in a head to head fight. This is due to lions growing up having to fight with siblings for dominance and leadership of the pride. The thick mane is a tremendous advantage as well.
- I can't be sure, but I do know the male tiger is the largest cat on the planet, (the Bengal tiger to be exact) but I'd suppose the tiger would have more power then the lion. But I don't know
- this question keeps popping up every couple of days, whats the obsession?
- Both are equally powerful. However, Lions are stockier and more compact than a tiger, whose body is sinuous.
