To make a long story short, I'm a 24 year old male and I've never even been on a single date. I can't seem to get girls to like me in that way. The running joke in my family is that I'll never get married and my sister always jokes that I didn't "really" go to college since I had absolutely no social life during those years.

1. I suspected the reason for my misfortune was that I was ugly. I've had a few male "friends" (I don't really like them) tell me that I look "scary" and that they'd be scared of me if we were not buddies. I'm definitely not fat, so it isn't that… I'm 6ft, ~180lbs and I have a fairly athletic build. I used to work out a lot and I played sports in highschool. So if it isn't my body, it must be my face, right? So I tried placing photos of myself on hotornot.com. I was surpsied that the ratings for my two photos were 8.7 and 9.2. The most frequent ratings in each score distribution was 7 and 8 respectively.
2. Attraction doesn't only fan from the outside. Maybe you have a sort of personality that may turn people off. Not to say that you do, but a possibility. Hopefully you aren't a rude person or have a snide attitude. Maybe you should try going out to different places to meet new people. Maybe the scary factor is your height. =]
3. just to be completely honest…I have read the other questions you have posted here and I don't think it is your looks…it sounds like your attitude is the deterent…please don't be angry I am really just tying to help. I can guess (I have been on sites similar to eharmony) that you are posting your job and your description…well you are attracting all the wrong people! Post a modest description with a small profile. You are most likely capturing a crowd of girls who want a hottie making $100,000 a year because they think they deserve a millionaire hottie husband and when they come to find you are not perfect (although most likely very normal) they quickly move to the next profile. I can almost bet you have passed over girls because they didn't meet your standard. Keep trying!.
4. I am sorry dude don't give up, just keep trying and maybe you might go to a beauty school and see if they have any suggestions for you, I know that is suppose to be a female thing but dudes do try to improve their looks too, maybe it is the things you are saying?
5. That's pretty ballsy. Opening up possible rude comments towards you. But, anyway, anyone can get a date. Because no matter how ugly you are, there is always someone uglier. Isn't that sweet?

7. you probably look very cute. any girl would go out with you. what's wrong with you face? she should just ask a girl out. if she rejects you then she wasn't worth it in the first place. most male friends always make fun of their friends. my brother had tried eHarmony and he was shot down so many times it wasn't fine. he then tried singles.net and he has met plenty of woman. they told him what they thought was wrong with him and he listen to their advice and since then he has found a nice woman. you just have to put yourself out there. and if you ask a woman what she thinks is wrong with you she'll tell you. I hope you find someone soon who's going to like you for you. don't give up you will find someone soon.
8. While these scores made me feel a little better, I wonder if these votes are real or if women are voting me high out of pity? I can't be certain.

   So I decided to try eHarmony and created a profile. For those that aren't aware, the eHarmony system matches people based on personality tests. The system will periodically send you new "matches" and you can either "close" the match or attempt to communicate. What I'm noticing is that most girls are opting to "close" communication with me after the system matches us. They are "closing" me without any contact between us! They just see my profile & pictures and close.

14. romantic relationships, while nice, aren't everything in life. if you have good friends, have things that you are passionate about, have good morals/values and stick to them, and try to help others, you have a pretty good life.
