Tell me if my bodybuilding/cardio plan will work out?
Okay I will be working at the gym every day except tuesdays and fridays lifting weights. I won't kill myself just to keep myself working on it. Every day I will run a mile. I am 14, male, 5'8 and weigh 150. I want to lose fat and gain muscle. Will this help? Revise if there is any way to work better!
- Well depends how you run the mile. If you just jog the whole way then you'll probably start losing muscle, if you do HIIT then you may even gain a small amount. HIIT is actually an anabolic exercise. Its basically a 2minute warm up (jog) 1 minute sprint, 1 minute jog. Do this until you've clocked around 12 minutes. then your done. If you find that easy your not working hard enough.
As for the weights, at your age you dont need to train 5 times a week, try every other day instead, and do your cardio on the days you dont do weights. The problem with training so much is you can overtrain, the reason why pro BB's can train like they do is the amount of quality steroids and supplements they use. They can block things like catabolism and boost anabolism. Unfortunatley (unless your a freak) you can't.
- yes but try 250 crunches and 500 push ups on top of that
- You need to workout lifting weights on every other day. If you lift them everyday you will actually make your muscles smaller.
- It sounds like a good work out plan. Just make sure you are targeting every muscle group. You don't have to do every muscle group every day but try to fit all of them in in the week. You are young an still growing so now is a good time to implement a good work out routine.
Good luck.
