The bible says that God made woman as a helper for him. It is true that the woman is in subjection to the man as the man is in subjection to the Christ and Christ to God. Someone has to be boss, both can not be boss. You quote men who are from false religions. These men are the antichrist the bible speaks about because they are against Christ. They do not teach in accord with Jesus' thoughts. They heap reproach on God and his son by their teachings.

17. I get what you mean . it does seem like a chauvinist religion.

    but you have to understand that just because people who may or may not be revered by the church were susceptible to the common injust beleifs of their time , the religion isnt wrong . these people are respected not for their false notions but for some great deeds they have done, serving the poor taking care of the sick and so on like mother theresa. No one is perfect, they too made mistakes and the chauvinist attitude in the past was considered normal. these days people need to think for themselves and correct the the wrong attitudes of the past.

    I understand that because such people held such beliefs, people of today will be less likely to be progressive and be shackeled to the past injust beleifs. this is one serious drawback of a religion withscripture and philosophers of the remote past

    each age has its own views that future ages will find faulty. we should learn not to base our beliefs on them.

23. I do not have any of the materials you are reading from in my bible, so I find it difficult to answer truthfully. All I can say is that the bible was written thousands of years ago and by men who did not appreciate all that a woman can do. Therefore it is bound to be gender bent. That's okay. I follow the bible and I believe it's words. Also, I do not belong to any organized religion so I choose to let God direct me instead of just some mortal man.
