Interested in bodybuilding. Who should I talk to in order to get started?
I'm a 27 yrs old woman who lives in Hawaii and I would like to get into bodybuilding but don't know how to start or who to talk to.
- That's right (above answers) go to the gym yourself first. Talk to people there including the trainer of course, they will be more than happy to show you around. Some will not mind your watching, when they lift, you can observe.
See if there's any lady around your age and who has been training for a while, you will make great friends there… I don't know much about Hawaii, but think there's Gold's Gym really good place to start bodybuilding
- If you want to do some research before you get into bodybuilding, PLEASE check out www.bodybuilding.com and go into their supersite. It is my favorite fitness/workout website mainly for bodybuilders and also aspiring and amateur bodybuilders. Although I am not a bodybuilder I do like to read their articles as they are very helpful. Tons of professional bodybuilders write articles for that website and they also have their contact information on the bottom of the articles. I can't even begin to describe how many different things they have on that website. Go check it out!
- Join a gym…they have people to get you started…
- trainer - me
- Right now online is Publishers Clearinghouse, you can get a good deal on Muscle & Fitness Magazine. Originally, Its a magazine put together by Joe & Ben Weider, two of the top authorities in bodybuilding, and the men who turned it into a sport. If you search any of this, you might find an address in California for their enterprises. They have some really fine books on this subject.
- You can talk to a college coach if there's a school nearby, or go to a gym and talk to a personal trainer.
