What should be the ideal body weight for a woman of 26 years, married and of slightly big built (5 ft 4)?

Married for a year,no kids yet. Does having a baby affect weight?

  1. You should find out what your body fat percentage is. This will give you a better idea whether you have healthy levels of body fat or not. If you are large in build, I would probably estimate around 125lb-145lb would be a good weight, but having your body fat percentage tested would let you know for certain whether you are healthy or not.

    HTH : )

  2. its nothing to do with your age but your height
for people your height the average weight should be 9-10 stones.
  3. Somewhere around 130. Women gain weight during pregnancy, and usually don't lose all of it.
  4. You can look on line for calculators to get your BMI (body mass index) also check your body fat %. Should be low to mid 20's for women.

Just to estimate for women, Start at 5'0" and weight of 100-110 lbs. For every inch taller add 5 to10 lbs. This will give you a high and low weight average. So at 5'4" you should be between 120lbs to 140lbs.

Remember that muscle weighs more than fat. I am 32 yrs old, 5'4" and weigh 110lbs with a body fat of 16%. A bit thin according to my doctor, but I feel healthy.
