Why do women like participating in body building?

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but why do women like getting really big in body building? I don't understand why they'd want to reshape their bodies to look so masculine. Could someone, preferably someone who actually does female body building, answer this for me? Why do you like it? What are the benefits? What are the drawbacks?
