Ok I'm REALLY confused about certain aspects of body building and lifting weights. I'm almost 6 ft tall with a skinny frame (about 150lbs). My aim is to get some basic form of definition in my upper body (what may loosely be called "being cut"), and NOT to gain insane amounts of muscle and weight.

I work out a lot, and I assume it must be a bunch. But as simply a question of interest, I'd like to know how much I burn (glucose out of muscles and liver, bloodstream, a little fat maybe, how much muscle tissue is actually broken down itself, etc.) per workout. the more specific the formula, the happier I get. Will it get into body types, BMI, weight, reps, amounts of sets of one exercise, each exercise in the workout… A web reference would be greatly appreciated to where I can analize this issue to my meticulous heart's desire. Thank you very much.
