Why do women have different body build when it comes to physical activity?

From dancers to swimmers to runners. What muscles do I need to work on if I want a body like Jennifer Lopez or Jessica Simpson? I want to work the RIGHT muscles of my body. Which should I focus on mainly? If you work chest muscles does that mean it would look like a mans? lol I am clueless so just help me All the dancers like ballerina and pussycat dolls and victoria secret have beautiful bodies.
