Are bodybuilding supplements a waste of money do we really need them if we lift weights everyday.?
- Protein shakes are good for gaining mass, especially if you cannot eat all of the meals per day needed to stack on the muscle.
If taking protein shakes then amino acid supplements are also good (unless the shake already has them in it, then it's a waste to get the separate supplement)
A multi-vitamin is good for everyone.
Creatine supplements are pretty good, but your protein shake might have it in too and make it unecessary to buy separate.
Energy drinks can be good but aren't necessary.
The fad junk that comes and goes is a waste of money. Protein and vitamins are the basic essentials to take.
- Some body builders swear by the expensive "scientifically formulated" products. My personal feeling is that, unless you competing professionally or something, the lower priced less scientific stuff … protein powder, vitamins, etc. … will keep you healthy and give your muscles the nutrients they need.
- A healthy diet and a regular routine will return the same results. Supplements are for people who cant regulate themselves naturally.
- Unless you're genetically sensitive to them, most of the time they do not work. As far as nutritional supplements that's all they are, supplements. Which means to replenish the body when it over depletes its own nutrients due to the exercise. They are supposed to help your body absorb them quicker than otherwise eating normally.
- hey so u like to lift weights well I do. I used to be like 450lbs I am telling the truth I now weigh 76lbs and I am 18 people now look at me like I am really hot (which I am )lol well I can lift 250lbs and I am so proud of myself for trying. before I would never tryout for cheerleader now I have soooo much confidence. u know what I made cheerleader and I am loving it……… good luck with ur decision
