Body building question. What supplements are you taking that are safe and effective?
I am currently taking whey protein powder in conjuction with my workouts. However I know there are supplements out there that will give better muscle gains and better pumps. Let me know what you take that works.
- Make sure your protein is a 100% ISOLATE variety which is highly digestable and bio-available - concentrates are inferior in digestibility.
Creatine ethyl esters reload your skeletal muscles and provide energy for contractile strength. Kre-Alkalyn is tops
L-Glutamine powder is an amino acid which is most abundant in the body and aids in muscle tissue healing.
Branched Chain Amino Acids are three aminos that are readily used up in the body and need to be supplemented on top of the bcaas in protein powders. They enable your gains in the gym to be 'held' on to longer, even if you havent been to the gym in weeks or monthes - great for summertime. allmaxnutrition.com has Leutor70, its great.
GABA is a supplement that elevates growth hormone secretion in the bloodstream while you sleep, enabling you to heal faster, stronger and bigger.
Chrysin is a supp of indole 3 carbinols from vegs such as cauliflower, brocolli and brussel sprouts which stops excess testosterone from being converted into estrogen which can stagnate your gains - great for teens and young adults especially.
Greens+ powder keeps your muscle tissues alkaline which is good for muscle growth (anabolism) and cuts down on lactic acid buildup in the tissues….
Theres tons more, yet these safe and effective supps have no negative sides and will get you on the right track. Good Luck
- Protein, Creatine, Arginine– and what's called a branch chain amino acid. The Arginine will give you a great "pump" and increase your overall vascularity. I have had great results, but I think that the thing that most supports my training is the amount of calories I consume and the kinds of foods I eat. Nutrition, diet– those are key if you want to make gains.
- besides protein that its safe, just the creatine, its effect its that you can workout more, because it delays fatigue, and have no effects.
- - omega 3 supplements - they're great for just about everyone
- calcium with vitamin d - to ensure my bones stay strong
- glucosamine - to protect my joints and knees
