I have just started working out and I want to know what supplements I can take as I am diabetic , I want to build muscle I am phisically fit and not overweight what products are safe to use for me,like what protein or creatine,
- Since you have diabetes you should take extra precaution, the best thing for you to do, would be to take a questionnaire called the Nutri-Physical and get a report of what would personally be the best supplement for you, or you could get a custom supplement made for you. The Supplement made for you would aid you in building muscle mass, and with diabetes.
You can the the Nutri-Physical at
https://www.marketamerica.com/blittrean/…
After you take the Nutri-Physical you will have the option to either view supplements already made that suit you, or you can check the custom cocktail and view what you need specifically; and get one made for you.
Hope This Helps
- you can get everything at www.myunf.com
- Look at different bariatric (stomach surgery) protein supplements - these products maintain a maximum of 3 grams of carbs and minimum of 25 grams of protein. Providing yourself adequate protein during muscle growth is crucial for muscle tone and growth.
Regardless of the diabetes, Men's Health magazine has been advocating a low-carbohydrate (low-glycemic) diet to every man regardless of heath condition because of the issue of diabetes.
There are tons of nutritional supplement companies, however many companies mix different supplement types which might have the same content of protein, but varying carbohydrate count.
I would reccomend the website- www.vitalady.com - she is a successful bariatric patient. I think the products are overpriced, but the exact types you would need. However, she provides small samples of her products for a small fee - something I totally reccomend doing before committing to buying a 25# tub of protein you hate. Once you find something to your liking, I would find other nutritional supplement companies, then go from there.

are there any other supplements that are used for gaining size, apart from protien and creatiene. I want different vitamins and other things like that?
- thanx
- A multivitamin, protein (both casein and whey) and lots of weights are all you really need. Once you get really serious you can take supplements for vascularity (such as Vanataur), which keep the blood in the muscle, therefore making you look more pumped (these are just for appearances though, they have no effect on muscle strength).
- I have personally gained muscle by taking Muscletech's Leukic & Gakic.
You can buy them cheaply on eBay. Otherwise they are too expensive!
You should also checkout GNC's website; they have dozens of supplements to look at. Just find some you like and google them to find out the truth about them, as GNC tends to make them sound as effective as steroids.
Good luck.
- Take a zink/magnesium supplement. It is usually sold as ZMA. It will help you sleep and boost testosterone levels, which will build muscle.
- I would recommend Prolab or BodyArmour
We sell them at the gym my landlady owns - we're always selling out
Ok they're not the cheapest products around but cheapest doesn't always mean they're the best.
Good luck
- dont even think about takin steroids.
- For the vast majority of people, for supplements, protein powders (whey, casein, egg and mixed), a good carb supplement such as dextrin or maltodextrin, creatine and a decent multivitamin/mineral is all they need. Supplements only make up maybe 10% of the total picture when talking about mass gains. Diet consists of about 70% of it, training the other 20%. Even hardcore gainers who have been competing for years rely primarily good nutrition for their gains and have perfected their diet, in essence becoming dietery and training experts.
Unless you are a genetic 1 in a million freak, lean muscle gains come slowly over time through hard work, discipline, consistency and good diet. Many, if not most, commercial supplements are junk and only serve to separate money from wallets.
