Bodybuilding tips anyone?
I have been working out for about two months now, and have shown amazing results in all parts of my body exept my abs. How do I define my abs? And how do I burn fat and gain muscle?
- When you say, you want to gain muscle, do you want your muscles to look bigger, or do you want to get stronger. Yes there is a difference.
Either way, what you must do first is do define your abs is to do cardio. Do it on opposite days of you your workout or right after your strength training workout, never before. We all have abs, it just most of us have a layer that covers them. Also, do your cardio in the morning, before you eat. This will throw you into negative calories. Wait 30 to 40 min before you eat, then eat a high protein breakfast. Cut your pop/soda, fast food, sugar and simple carbs. This will help lose weight and the extra protein will help your muscles. The best protien breakfast is raw eggs. Don't worry, the worst part of the egg is the shell, not the egg itself. The shells have poop on them and that is where the problem is. Just don't eat raw eggs with red spots, too runny, or break when you open them. Cooking eggs denatures the protein. Mix it with choc whey protein and coffee flavored creamer. Yummm.
Now as for your muscles. If you want to get larger, inflated muscles that have no functional strength, go ahead and isolate your muscle groups and do all the curls and pull downs you can handle.
If you want functional strength, engage all your muscles on your workouts and do more presses, wide grip pullups, and anything functional. Contract your abs and glutes with every lift, as well grip every weight as hard as you can. Will help with intrinsic mucles as well as your core. More protein, less carbs, cardio in the morning, strength train which ever way you want but I prefer the functional since I want to be able to fight my way out of a paper bag instead of staring in a mirror. . Good luck
- go to a good gym , they usually have personal trainers , that for a fee they will evaluate you and set a course outline for you to follow .
- the best way to define your abs is crunches, situps and leglifts laying flat on your back. Leg lifts work really well.
- You cannot burn fat and gain muscle simultaneously, there are completely different states of metabolism (gain = anabolism, loss = catabolism).
Abs are best trained through cardiovascular workouts to make them more superficial to the skin.
Think that bicep curls won't remove fat around the arm, the same as how a sit up won't remove fat from the midsection…
- For abs do ab workouts…in the weight room with their equipment..
